Allison Fields, DVM
Chief of Staff
Witnessing and preserving the human-animal bond thru veterinary medicine is my mission. I received a BA in Anthropology and Fine Arts from Vanderbilt University, a BS in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology from Middle Tennessee State University & most recently became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 with a degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. When I am not in the clinic, I love to kayak, read, cook, knit, and cheer on the Titans and Predators! I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing animal hospital.

Dr. Vanessa Turner
Veterinarian
I became a Veterinarian because I believe our pets are truly family members and deserve to be loved and cared for. I graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. I wanted to be able to care for the dogs and cats that we love, at all stages of their lives. When I am not at the office, I can be found reading, spending time with my children Caitlin and Ty, visiting with family, cheering on my LSU Tigers, and watching Lipscomb University softball and Tennessee Titans football. I have been practicing at this animal hospital since 2003. I have 2 dogs- Gunnar, a German Shepherd, and Ellie, a Shih-Tzu/Bichon mix, and 2 cats- Cleo and Joey, both left as kittens at our clinic.

James Bolles, DVM
Veterinarian
I became a veterinarian in 1993 when I graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to this, I received my BS in Animal Science from Middle Tennessee State University. I’m a native Nashvillian and have worked in Nashville, TN, for most of my career, but I currently live in Franklin with my canine little buddy, Sophie.
As a veterinarian, I have made a strong effort to educate people about their pet’s healthcare so that they may better care for them. I really enjoy getting to know pet parents and interacting with their pets. My interest is in canine and feline internal medicine.
Away from work, I enjoy spending time with Sophie, getting outside and working in my yard and flower garden, studying the Bible, and being a member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Franklin.

Beth R.
Practice Manager
I have a special love of cats and bully breeds. I entered the vet industry by chance and now can’t imagine doing anything else. I have worked in vet med for 9 years. Even after I leave work, I like to snuggle up with my 3 cats and watch Netflix. I love to take in the stray kittens that get dropped off and raise them until they can be adopted. I’m very lucky to have a job that allows bottle feedings every 4 hours!

Crystal R.
Receptionist & Social Media Coordinator
I have loved animals my whole life. We lived on a road where people would drop animals and I would bring them all home. I have worked in vet med for almost 15 years I can’t stand to see sick animals untreated. I got into this field to see animals taken care of and to be a part of that. I love to spend time with my family, especially my 2 grandchildren who are the loves of my life. I have 3 pets: a 13 year old Pekingese, 12 year old cat, and a 3 year old terrier mix.

Michelle N.
Veterinary Assistant
Animals are such agreeable friends, they ask no questions but love you when you’re sad or happy. I have worked in the veterinary industry for 15 years. This job provides you with opportunities to spend time with animals when you have none at home. When I am not in the office, I can be found reading, baking, exploring, and being outside. Performing dentals are my favorite. I am a mother of 3 boys.

Jessica M.
Veterinary Assistant
I knew since I was a little kid I had a special connection with animals. I grew up right down the road and always dreamed of working at the animal hospital. When I am not helping out at the clinic, I like to hang out with my dog and boyfriend, and ride our 4-wheeler around. I have the patience to befriend scared and nervous pets, and I like to make their stay with us as comfortable as possible. I love learning! I love fixing and assembling things and am known as the “handy-woman” around the clinic!

Felix
Clinic Cat
Felix has ruled over Bellshire Family Vet for the last 16 years and is easily the most recognizable face in the clinic. You can usually find him lounging at the front desk in one of his many beds and greeting patients and their humans. Nothing in his kingdom is off-limits, so don’t be surprised if he tries to hitch a ride in your purse or wants to be a part of your visit!

Brittany
I have had a love for animals since I was little. Being an advocate for their well-being makes me absolutely love my job. I have worked in the veterinary field for 20+ years now. I have experience with multiple species and have attended many different continuing education seminars including several specialized in veterinary dentistry. Who wouldn’t want to love on cats and dogs all day while also making sure they are medically sound and safe? Spending time with my kids and attending their sporting events. I really enjoy sharing years of experience as well as tips and tricks with fellow workers or any newcomers to the veterinary industry.

Lilly
Clinic Cat
Lilly is an angel baby princess from heaven who keeps everyone in line. She has a super loud purr and a silent meow and likes to head-butt the humans she loves. Her hobbies include eating treats and bossing around the other cats. You will usually find her at the front desk in her pink cat cave and often jumps up on the counter looking for attention.

Simon
Clinic Cat
Simon has lived at the clinic his whole life and was bottle-fed as a kitten by the staff. He is laid back and easygoing, usually choosing to nap at the front desk with his surrogate mom, Crystal. His favorite spot is perched on the back of her chair while she works, and often wanders out to the lobby to greet cats coming in for check-ups.

Ozzie
Clinic Cat
Ozzie is easily the most lovable cat you will ever meet but a sighting of him is rare. He prefers to spend his time in the back of the clinic stretched out on tables waiting for someone to pet him. If you walk past him without showing him some love he will reach out and grab you, demanding cuddles. If it’s a quiet day you may catch a glimpse of him venturing out, especially if his pal Jessica is working the front desk.
